Chris finishing 3rd in his age group! Way to go Mister! Josh won their age group with 28:something. :) |
Then Saturday afternoon about 35 ladies got together at my parents house in order to celebrate the anticipation of the arrival of our lil’ one and I just have one thing to say, “Holy cow, our family and friends are generous!”
Looking back on the afternoon, and after going through and re-going through our gifts, we realized that the only thing we still need are the Best Bottom diaps that we’ll be using once we’re out of the new newborn stage—and use up the over 200 disposable diapers we’ve accumulated from gifts and such. Oh and we’ll likely want to get some cloths for our babe once we know if he’s a he or she’s a she. The gender neutral selection—outside of the outfits already hanging in the closet—doesn’t give one much to choose from.
So without many words to express our gratitude, here are some snapshots of our family/friends’ generosity—and creativity—that was showered on us Saturday:
Diaper Baby made by sis-in-law |
Baby Bouquet Onesies, Mittens, Hats, Socks & More |
Favorite Outfit from Momma-cita! : ) |
Lots & Lots of "Stuff" filling up the Nursery |
Legit Pic of Mister after going through all the gifts again. I told you we were overly blessed! :) |
*I couldn’t find my camera during the shower [yep, you guessed it though, it was laying out on the kitchen counter the whole time] so I wasn’t able to take pictures there. So these couple pics had to be taken after the fact. Also I don’t have a picture of the adorable cake that my mother-in-law made for us, but I know a few others do, so when I get that I’ll update this. :)*

From Joie and some friends doing the leg work of planning to all the ladies that attended, Chris and I are very grateful that not only do people love us that much to shower us with love, but that in 8ish weeks the little one is going to be welcomed into a world of love and support. The lil’ one is pretty fortunate as well, I’d say! :)
